How to Make Today a "Good Ol' Day"
"I remember the good ol' days." Have you ever heard anyone say that? Have you ever said it yourself (or thought it)? Maybe recently? Of course, this is a real estate blog where I write about real estate, too ~ but there's application no matter what your career, status or lot in life if you keep reading on. (I promise.) Usually in challenging times there's the tendency to think about days gone by. True? (It's a challenging time in real estate.) There's also the tendency to "romanticize" the past ~ make it "larger than life" and more than what it really was. That's not to say that things were never better at other times. (Not too long ago real estate was booming.) Past good times or past bad times, the fact remains we're alive NOW. We're living and breathing NOW. Our hearts are pumping, our eyes are seeing, our ears are hearing, our feelings are feeling NOW. What was then is gone, gone, gone, gone ~ "romanticize" it or not. So why not make this time the "good ol' days" ~ and do it while we're in the middle of living it? (Just sayin'.) Here's how to make today a "good 'ol day"...
Completely embrace what you're doing. (I call it: "All in.")
Treat others right.
Be hopeful. (If you aren't naturally, make friends with someone who is.)
Continue growing.
Help someone who's struggling.
