I don't know if you're one who watches the Academy Awards. But the annual show went off last night in all it's glitz and glamour. Some of the big winners include: Slumdog Millionaire (Best Picture plus seven more Oscars); Kate Winslet (Best Actress in "The Reader"); Andrew Stanton (Best Animated Feature, WALL-E). (To view more of the winners, click HERE.) And I couldn't help but wonder if there were an Academy Awards show for realtors, who would win top honors? And, quite frankly, I'd dare suggest that every home seller and buyer wants his or her realtor to be of "Oscar" quality. Would your clients say that after having worked with you? Would they say, "And the Oscar goes to..." with your name at the end? Would they rise to give you a standing ovation? It's really easy to win the "Oscar" with your people. Then again, it's not so easy. It's only through dedication, professionalism, selflessness, commitment, hard work, perseverance and sacrifice that an Academy Award-winning performance can come.

Great post. I have been really mulling over lately what is it that clients want in an agent. One that is full of themself or one that really works to serve his or her clients. But there is more to it than that. I will continute to ask that question to each client I seek to serve.
