Do Unto Others

(I use a bad word in this one. You've been warned.)

Most of us know the "golden rule." I gave you the first part of it in the title and thought about giving you time to remember the rest of it on your own. (Clock ticking.) Got it? If you thought, "Do unto others ... as you would have them do unto you," you're right. And if you didn't think it, well, next time you'll know.

And isn't it true that there are some in the world (and it really doesn't matter what the career) who want everybody else to treat them just right (with kid gloves?) while they treat people like (bad word coming): BEEP. I just couldn't do it (though it would have gone far to emphasize the point I'm making that's so often true).

What I mean is there are those who want people to pay up on time (but they don't pay up on time?). There are those who want people to not cut them off on the road (but they cut others off on the road?). There are those who want people to be polite with them (but they're rude and obnoxious and cuss and even use the middle finger?).

It overlaps into the workplace. It can't help but.

"The way you do anything is the way you do everything."

  1. I agree - imagine the joy, happiness and complete awesomeness we'd experience if we all just treated others the way we want to be treated...

amazing to just think on that for a moment.

  2. That's Awesome, most times some people want to get Joy but all they do is make others sad and forget that what you give is what you get in return.
