What You Can Do to Survive Writer's Block and the Art of Re-Purposing Content

After reading a blog post by Kevin Ocasio where he offers 4 Simple Ways to Create Content on a Shoe String Budget, I wrote the following comment:
When I hit a writing “wall” (which is where I’m at right now), I re-purpose content (as you said). Simple infographics are really not that hard to do (as a re-purposing platform). Also, doing a slideshow on slideshare.net is fun (see below for how to create your very own slideshow). I have used videos, too. You’d be surprised how far you can go (with the re-purposing route) if you’ve got a lot of content already.
Upon commenting the following thought hit me: "Why not go further and actually develop the comment itself into a quickie blog post?" Now that would be another way of re-purposing content by re-purposing a comment you may have made?!

OTHER WAYS AROUND THE "WALL"

I mentioned the writing "wall" that I've been up against in recent days (often referred to as "writer's block"). Another way I get around it is by taking old content that I've already produced and re-purposing it into what I refer to as a "simple" infographic. (To read: How to Create a Simple Infographic and Give That Old Blog Post New Life, click here.)

Still another way I get around the writing "wall" is by creating an eBook of some of my old posts. I then promote the eBook in its own blog post. (To read: How to Create Your Very Own eBook, click here.)

So there you go. I've given you how I survive writer's block. I hope it helps you to survive, too. :)
