A "Mouse" of a Dream
Tweet |
"I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse."
I'll tell you who said that in just a moment (just in case you don't figure it out).
But before that...
We never really know what's gonna work, do we? We never really know what's gonna be the breakthrough idea (versus wrong). We never really know how something's gonna pan out over the weeks and months ahead of the choices we're making today.
"How about a mouse?" we say. "That's crazy."
And we sleep on it.
And we wake up the next morning and there's that mouse again that we chose the day before that it was the direction we were going in even though it was "crazy".
And we work further with the mouse.
And things begin taking shape that we didn't dream of (or maybe we did?).
And now we've got a duck and a dog to go along with our mouse.
A duck, a dog and a mouse.
Now there's a combination.
And we're starting to think that maybe that idea we had a little bit ago wasn't such a bad idea after all as it's taking shape and being accepted by others and we're starting to be profitable.
What's your dream?
Are you thinking about giving it up?
Don't throw your "mouse" away just yet.
It still may end up not being such a bad idea after all.
Who needed to hear it?
(Oh, I almost forgot. That quote above was from Walt Disney. Of course, the mouse is Mickey. The duck and the dog are Donald and Pluto.)
