Still Much to Celebrate

With the soaring fuel and food prices, with the hundreds of fires in California, with the tensions in the Middle East as high as they've ever been and, adding to these, whatever challenges each of us might have at a personal level that no one else knows about, with all of these things going on, and in the midst of them, there's still much to celebrate this Independence Day weekend starting tomorrow. Right? America has never been a better place to live, raise your kids, pursue your dreams and hope for the future. And so to get you started this holiday weekend in the spirit of things, I've got a slideshow for you to watch below set to the song, "God, Bless America," that will inspire and uplift you. Are you doing anything to celebrate Independence Day? Are you taking a break from selling real estate (some of you)? It goes without saying, it's a great country that we live in. There's none like it on the face of the earth or in the history of the world. America is unique. We are a free people. And we owe our freedom to our founding fathers and all those who have given their lives to protect us down through the years. That's what fireworks is all about. Celebration. I can remember as a kid - how 'bout you? - it was the sparklers that were the best! Right? They were for our family. And maybe (like me) you won't be able to get out to Don Pedro or somewhere else to watch a fireworks display this year and so I thought I'd embed one in this post. It's the grand finale at a New York Independence Day celebration in 2006. It's great to be an American!! Enjoy the video. And have a happy 4th.
