A Successful Realtor® in One Word
Tweet |
So if you could choose one word that sets apart a successful realtor from an unsuccessful one, what would it be? I actually tweeted (asked) this question on twitter to not only get some feedback, but also to see if anyone would even come close to the word I had in mind. Some of the answers that came in from twitter (and from the following tweeps) included: @genemundt: willing; @AmanBakshi: proactve; @Christy_LA: genuine; @PMZRealEstate: education; @ergoheat: charisma; @nwahlen: honesty; @afreshspace: organized; @spelletier: sales; @recr: effort; @toddwaller: focus; @1000wattmarc: sales; @agentPatGillen: perseverance; @ColleenLane: consistent. (And if you haven't followed any of these tweeple yet, why not? Links go directly to their tweet sites.) Of course, no one even came close to the word I was thinking about. And when you see it you'll think it wasn't even fair to begin with? So are you ready for my one word? Drum roll, please. My one word is this: H-E-A-R-T. H-onesty (@nwhalen actually had this letter); E-xcellence in service; A-ttitude; R-esolve; T-eam player. It's the H-E-A-R-T of a successful realtor (in my mind) that sets him/her apart from an unsuccessful one. Do you agree/disagree?

Thanks a lot. Great post for people who want to refine their approaches.
No fair! Loaded question (or at least answer)! I demand a re-do!
;-) Thanks for the mention and the question..Great food for thought.
Not sure you can effectively reduce a good Realtor down to one word. But I could in a sentence. A good Realtor is one who within the transaction, accommodates for the misgivings of the bad Realtor without so much as making a fuss about it.
Disagree. What you have is an acronym. Just the word "heart" has little to no value. My one word would be "connections". You can have everything else mentioned and still not make a dime. But if you have connections, the dimes come to you.
No fair that's not a word...it's acronym. I was thinking "persistance"
Truth
I was thinking of giving, kind, helpful - which your HEART encompasses and more - Terrific article :)
