3 Ways to Get Off to a Good Start
Tweet |
What's the most important part of any race?
Some would say it's the finish line and crossing the finish line first. Others would say it's between the lines and especially after your second wind kicks in. Still others would say it's at the starting gate where races are either won or lost.
I agree with the last group. Without a good start, in many instances, you can kiss the rest of the race goodbye.
So how are you starting your race this year (career-wise)? Get off to a good start in the following three ways...
(1) Add something new. Make room (I like to suggest 5-10% of your overall business time) for another approach to business. Find out what the top producers are doing (that you're not doing), and do that.
(2) Subtract something. Ask questions: What's the ROI (return on investment) on this action? Be honest. An unpruned tree has a hard time reaching maximum height.
(3) Take care of yourself. There's a reason why God gave us 24 hour days. Can you just imagine if they were twice that long? We'd fill them up. Don't forget to rest.
