I'm Not Responsible
Tweet |
What's happened to us? We've become good at avoiding responsibility. (I'm serious.) We think someone else will do it (or should). Right? There are some of us like that. Some of us were that way when we were kids. "I'm not going to do it. It's not my job." It was our attitude. It was how we thought. It got worse when we became teenagers. "Why should I any way? Why should I do it?"And now we're adults. And you just can't count on some of us, quite frankly. We don't show up. And even when we do, we're unreliable. It's like the story of the hospital patient who spilled a cup of water on the floor. Hospital policy said nurse's aides handled small spills and housekeeper's handled large. The nurse's aide came and said the spill was large. The housekeeper came and said the spill was small. That's irresponsible. And that's just wrong.
