What If You Lost It All? (Social Media Meltdown)
What if you woke up one morning, turned on your computer, opened up your browser only to find you had no visitors to your blog or comments. (They couldn’t comment. They didn’t come.) Oh no. Then you went on over to Twitter to see your @ replies and, sure enough, no replies there either. And no retweets. And no direct messages. (That last one isn’t so bad. We all hate those auto DM's.) “Well, at least there’s still Facebook,” you think to yourself. And off you go. But there it’s the same story. No writings on your wall. No friend requests. Nothing. Would you be down? Would you be broken? Would you really be the worse for wear? We allow things (including social media) to define who we are and we’re not the sum total of our things (or our social media experience), let alone what we do (day-to-day wise) or our bank account balance. We’re more than that. Much more. (Flickr picture by Matt Hamm)

Great thoughts, and good perspective. I wrote a post about what would happen if the internet was wiped out tomorrow. I shared many of the same thoughts you mention here. Cheers!
meh..I'm still new to the whole blogging, twitter thing. I'm surprised every time someone responds to a tweet and I'm grateful for EVERY comment to my blog.
If it were all gone tomorrow. I'd have more time for working out.
