7 Things Not To Forget About Change
Tweet |
"On June 4, 1783 at the market square of a French village of Annonay, not far from Paris, a smoky bonfire on a raised platform was fed by wet straw and old wool rages. Tethered above, straining its lines, was a huge taffeta bag 33 feet in diameter. In the presence of 'a respectable assembly and a great many other people,' and accompanied by great cheering, the balloon was cut from its moorings and set free to rise majestically into the noon sky. Six thousand feet into the air it went -- the first public ascent of a balloon, the first step in the history of human flight. It came to earth several miles away in a field, where it was promptly attacked by pitchfork-waving peasants and torn to pieces as an instrument of evil!"
Of course, the above story is all about the subject of change. It also reminds us of a number of things that can accompany change. I've included them in the list below (could it be you're in the middle of making a change?)...
7 Things Not To Forget About Change:
1. Most people don't like change.
2. Change is scary.
3. Change is painful.
4. If you don't change, you'll be left behind.
5. Change for change sake is not necessarily good.
6. Change is inevitable.
7. A lot of change proves to be worthwhile in the long run.

Really you did very good job.
At the risk of this sounding like Spam, let me say that it has been quite a journey of change at WizIQ courses as well. Initially, we had all sorts of courses, then we focused on some of which some did not work. Only recently did we try and focus our attention to two categories we think will do really well:
IBPS Bank PO and SBI Clerical Exams Preparation and Languages Online Courses. It was tough at every step but the change when introduced went through a full cycle of resistance, denial, cynicism, grudging acceptance, slow results and then pick up. Ideas whose time has come can not be denied for long - no matter who it is.
Either you change to change or change changes you itself :)
Good blog.
Good one. Change is very important or one will always be stuck in the moment as Mahatma Gandhi said "be the change you want to see in this world". Change also means you are improving.
