10 Mistakes People Make with Predictions (plus 1 bonus):
1. Believe them.
2. Forget that it's impossible to predict the future.
3. Don't make plans just in case they DON'T come true.
4. Don't make plans just in case they DO come true.
5. Base their entire lives on what someone else says.
6. Don't do homework on reliability of prognosticator.
7. Reject the news if it is bad / doesn't fit their template (or live in denial).
8. Submit to manipulation of "predictors."
9. Go along with "consensus" (majority of opinion).
10. Don't use their own brains to consider the future and plan their lives accordingly (wisely).
BONUS Think that just because somebody said it a long time ago, it must be true.
