7 Signs That You Work With a Mean Person (plus 1 bonus)
I'm talking about mean people in this one.
IS IT YOU?
And let me just say at the outset that we don't always think of ourselves when we think of being mean. Noooo. It's always somebody else that comes to mind. It's always somebody else that's mean, hard to work with and be around. Right? It couldn't be us. No way. No, sir.
Not us! ;-)
"MEANNESS" MISINTERPRETED
And sometimes a person's "meanness" can be misinterpreted.
It might be that the person is an introvert. His (her) personality might not be outward / communicative. And so it's misconstrued as being "mean."
Or maybe the person is just decisive. That's it. There isn't much give and take, wiggle room with him (her). And this is also misinterpreted as being mean.
A REASON THEY'RE MEAN?
Aside from personality, aside from decisiveness, the fact is there are mean people. Most often it's because they're just plain selfish / self-centered. Then again it (their "meanness") could be a result of something having happened to them.
You'd be surprised what a listening ear can do to a mean person (to help shave off the rough edges).
That said, here you go with....
7 Signs That You Work With a Mean Person:
1. They mostly have a frown on their face when they see you.
2. They order you around.
3. They talk behind your back.
4. They get in your stuff when you're not there (and think nothing of it).
5. They undermine your business.
6. They yell at you.
7. They don't treat you like an adult.
BONUS They take joy in seeing you suffer, fail, lose, disappear.
