Let's Talk Social Media Strategy

Social media strategy is the way an individual and/or business incorporates the use of social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, etc, to connect with the online community. Social media strategy varies from person to person, company to company.
As it has to do with us at Sugar Pine Realty, our social media strategy starts out with a blog. The goal of this blog is simple: Attract and drive traffic to our real estate website: SugarPineRealty.com.
And so we write at least 2 blog posts per week (plus post a fun video on most Fridays) as part of our social media strategy. The subjects include real estate (obviously) and social media and life tips (I'm really good at the latter).
The next part of our social media strategy is to promote our blog posts across the various social media platforms. Twitter is our primary vehicle (then Facebook, Google Plus and Pinterest). We schedule recurring tweets throughout the day using Hootsuite to automate. (Socialoomph is the backup.)
And I guess the most important part of our social media strategy (aside from SEO and other things) relates to our 1,000+ blog post library created over 7 years on which to draw from. Longevity (sticking to it / keeping at it over the long haul and never giving up) is the most important social media strategy of all.
