Lightning fast read meant to make you think...
10 Mistakes People Make with Being Down on Their Luck (plus 1 bonus):
1. Forget the truism: "This, too, shall pass."
2. Feel like giving up (To read: "7 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Give Up," click here.)
3. Isolate themselves off from help.
4. Don't communicate about their situation so they can be supported (need to speak up).
5. Think they are the only ones that go through things like that (a type of "pride").
6. Get angry over their situation and take it out on others (families suffer the most).
7. Let their health go (overeat/drink, don't exercise, don't get enough sleep, etc).
8. Mourn (wallow in pity) longer than what is normal (you can recover!).
9. Forget the benefits of humor and laughter to release pressure / bring relief.
10. Overlook how it increases their empathy for others in the same or similar situation.
BONUS Won't face the fact that it may be their own fault they are in the predicament? (be truthful about the problem so you have a chance at a solution).
