Lightning fast read meant to make you think...
10 Mistakes People Make with Naysayers (plus 1 bonus):
1. Are unclear on the definition (a naysayer is: "a person who habitually expresses negative or pessimistic views").
2. Immediately write off someone who "naysays" when they just might be giving reasonable advice.
3. Bow down, kowtow (give in) to naysayers.
4. Listen to people who always say, "That can't be done," so they never step out and take a risk on anything.
5. Are a naysayer themselves (always see the glass as half empty versus half full).
6. Use naysaying to control others.
7. Use naysaying to manipulate others.
8. Think all naysaying is bad (not if it shields you from disaster).
9. Forget that too much gloom and doom contributes to depression and hopeless feelings.
10. Poo poo (naysay!) every new thing for selfish reasons (e.g. Always vote against new development in their community).
BONUS Don't recognize excessive complaining as a characteristic of a naysayer.
