I've got a couple of quick videos for you today from the Forbes Video Network. The first one has Johan Norberg suggesting an obsession with home ownership as a contributing factor to the current housing crisis in America. Many were deceived into believing they had the ability to sustain a mortgage. In the second video (see the next post or "previous posts" in the right sidebar) billionaire Richard LeFrak speaks about the economy and how his company is managing the mortgage crisis by investing in oil and gas. Negative Effect of Out-of-Town Appraisers

Just a real quick post for you this morning. It’s a video from the MSNBC website. Of course, the latest home sales numbers are a big focus, but you’ll want to keep your ears open for later in the video where the negative effect of the Home Valuation Code of Conduct is mentioned. With the new middle man and out-of-town appraiser having to be involved in sales, it’s causing many cancellations because their appraisals “are coming in at well below the sale value [of homes].” Well worth your while information.
