How to Set Up a Twitter Testimonial Widget for Your Blog or Website
Tweet |
I want you to notice in the left sidebar of this blog a Twitter widget I've named: "Twitter Testimonials." You can scroll up and down to see the different "shout outs," thank you's and expressions of appreciation, etc, that I've received from people who have been reading this blog.
My main point is you should be doing this, too, on your own blog or website. It's real simple and it ends up being a kind of resume for others to see.
To set one up, you'll want to visit: https://twitter.com/settings/widgets. Once you're logged in with your Twitter credentials, to create a widget you'll want to click "Create new" (at the top right). At this point you'll want to choose the Favorites tab (under "Choose a timeline source"). Then you'll notice your recent favorited tweets in the widget preview (at the right). These are your "Twitter Testimonials."
Now you are ready to grab the embed code and copy it to your blog or website. Choose "Create widget" (at the bottom left). If you know a little html code, you will be able to change the dimensions of the embed code (height and width). (Mine happens to be 435 x 200 so it will fit nicely in the left sidebar ~ in case you wanted to know.)
So there you are. You now have your own Twitter Testimonial widget. :)
