Lightning fast read meant to make you think...
10 Mistakes People Make with New Year's Eve (plus 1 bonus):
1. Drink too much.
2. Stay out too late.
3. Take risks they otherwise would never take.
4. Wallow in self pity and loneliness.
5. Overlook calling their mom or dad to wish them a "Happy New Year" (many daughters and sons wish theirs were still around).
6. Wallow in regret (you can't change the past, but you can choose what happens in your future).
7. Over-sensationalize the meaning of the moment (New Year's Eve itself is not really that important).
8. Make fools of themselves (due to a low self-esteem?).
9. Don't choose a designated driver.
10. Overlook the opportunity to help those less fortunate ring in the New Year (visit a shut in?).
BONUS Throw off all restraint and regret it in the morning (or even longer?).
