10 Mistakes People Make with Outward Appearances (plus 1 bonus):

2. Are afraid of the "tough guy" exterior.
3. Think that just because they did some good things on the outside means they're good on the inside.
4. Think that just because they made a mistake they are no good on the inside.
5. Only welcome (are partial to) pretty faces.
6. Turn away less than pretty faces.
7. Pass judgment without all the information (guilty until proven innocent).
8. Fall for the smooth talker.
9. Are afraid to "see what they see."
10. Forget that context and time are helpful in pointing out what's really happening (or what's happened).
BONUS Fail to recognize there are people (especially in high political positions) that make their living via "smoke and mirrors" (deception).
