Lightning fast read meant to make you think...
10 Mistakes People Make with the Unknown / What They Don't Know (plus 1 bonus):
1. Are afraid of it.
2. Don't proceed with appropriate caution (think about driving in heavy fog).
3. Proceed too cautiously (sometimes risks are warranted).
4. Don't prepare for the unknown (at the very least, have an emergency fund since there are no guarantees with the future).
5. Would rather remain in ignorance because it's easier that way (finding out can be hard work / painful).
6. Start filling in the blanks with what's ahead ~ what will, might, can happen, but probably won't (it is impossible for every scenario to play out at the same time ~ you can't die falling off a cliff if you've already died drowning in a river).
7. Allow what they don't know to paralyze them in the present.
8. Worry themselves sick (literally) over what they don't know.
9. Don't look for support when they become overwhelmed thinking about the unknown.
10. Make wrong or biased judgments (especially when it comes to people they don't know).
BONUS Think that what they don't know can't hurt them (go to the doctor and have that skin blemish checked!).
