Lightning fast read meant to make you think...
10 Mistakes People Make with Creating Online Videos (plus 1 bonus):
1. Make them too long (let it be 2 minutes or less, preferably closer to 1).
2. Use a lousy microphone (bad audio will kill your clicks).
3. Forget to write a script beforehand.
4. Forget to practice their script (say it out loud).
5. Speak as if there's a frown on their face (be smiling).
6. Don't realize that Windows Movie Maker is a great program for creating and editing online videos.
7. Overlook that the best video might not get a whole lot of clicks (for whatever reason), while the video you don't think is very good goes "viral"? (it's funny how that is).
8. Don't watch other people's online videos for ideas.
9. Don't realize you can create a video just using slides with text and a song in the background (for an example of one I created, click here).
10. Forget that, "If you build it, they will come," only happens in the movies (if you want people to see your video, promote it across social media platforms - and YouTube, of course).
BONUS Have a face for radio, but still use it?
