11 Tips About Blogging (plus 1 bonus)
This is a quick one. In and out. They're rules I live by as a full time real estate blogger (part of my job description) going into the sixth year. (Of course, there's much more under the surface of these icebergs.)
So here you go with...
11 tips about blogging (plus 1 bonus):
#1: I remember it’s the boss and company I'm representing.
#2: I shut out distractions so I can think.
#3: I let my writing “simmer” overnight. (To read "Blogging and Grandma's Sauce," click here.)
#4: I write and write and write some more.
#5: I read and read and read some more.
#6: I press through writer’s block and brain freeze. (To read "Beating Blogger’s Block," click here.)
#7: I don’t expect perfection.
#8: I am myself and happy with it.
#9: I see a potential post in everything around me.
#10: I "try" to stay a week ahead. (Approx 3 or 4 posts.)
#11: I write "tight." KISS: Keep it simple, silly. (I changed it to that last word. ;P)
BONUS: I understand the day sugarpinerealty.blogspot.com gets the most visits (Monday-Wednesday ~ clickable picture above left) and at what time (8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Pacific USA every day ~ clickable picture above right) and capitalize on it (by tweeting blog post urls).

Thanks for that. I tend to have a problem letting posts rest over night. My tendency is to want to "get it out there"—after all, I wrote it for people to read. But I've never once left a piece overnight and upon re-reading it fired it off without some changes.
Thanks for the insights.
Great post I just started my blog today. So I have not wrote my first post yet. I have so many ideas in my head about what I want to write it hard to get started. Well take care and God bless.
Those are some pretty good tips. I need to try and remember the first one the most. I make a living writing for others, and it is hard to remember that it is their post, and not mine!
And of course, letting your posts (or anything you write) sit for at least one day is a good idea. I try to go further than that depending on what I'm writing.
Good Post!
I so agree with #9 ....every where you turn is a blogging opportunity!
